Lois Anne "Suzie" Arnold, of Wellington, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at her home in Wellington, at the age of 80.

Suzie was born the daughter of Michael and Lois (Koehler) Sanford on Thursday, Aug. 12, 1937 in Fargo, N.D.

On Aug. 27, 1988, Sue and Robert (Bob) Arnold were united in marriage in Dodge City, Kan. Together they celebrated 29 years of marriage.

Suzie was a long time resident of Dodge City, Kan., before moving to Wellington, in June of 2006. Suzie had a long successful career in the restaurant industry. She managed the Hitch N Post Truck Stop in Dodge City, Kan., for many years. She left the Hitch N Post Truck Stop with many of her employees and coworkers to venture out on her own to open a family run restaurant formerly known as the Gunsmoke Restaurant. Suzie was a passionate, devoted follower of Christ. Upon retirement Suzie enjoyed bringing comfort to others by sending cards, volunteering for Hospice and Birthline and organizing funeral dinners. One of her greatest joys was surrounding herself with her large and loving family.
