Pamela Newman, 58, of Newkirk, OK, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2010, at her home in Newkirk, OK.
Funeral Services will be at 10 A.M., Monday, February 8, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City, KS. Burial will be in the Tannehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7 from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00. A memorial has been established for the construction of a tabernacle in South Africa. Pam had planned on going with her church in November to help with the construction of the tabernacle. Pamela was born in Staton Island, New York on May 10, 1951 the daughter of Dale and Mildred Pierce Wilkerson. Pam attended school in Wellington and graduated from Winfield High School. Pam was united in marriage with John Michael Newman on July 6, 1968 in Winfield, Kansas. Pam worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Roger Maechtlen. She was presently employed at First Intermark as a valued associate. She enjoyed working with flowers, cooking, baking and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Pam was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church, she had a heart for missions and daily spent time reading her bible.
Pam is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home; sons, James Newman and his wife Shonda of Arkansas City, KS; Jake Newman and his wife Lea of Kinsley, KS; Jeremy Newman and his wife Heather of Arkansas City, KS; mother, Mildred Wilkerson of Wellington; brothers, Robert Ketterman and Michael Joe Ketterman, sisters, Melinda Bigler and Theresa Kent, 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Ethan, Evan, Bayne, Ellie and Jeryn.
Pam is preceded in death by her father, Dale Wilkerson.
