Larry G. Hooper
    Larry G. Hooper, of Wellington, Kansas, Wal-Mart greeter, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 56.
    Larry was born the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Windsor) Hooper on Friday, February 20, 1953 in Borger, Texas. His parents preceded him in death.
    On December 12, 1981, Larry and Patricia Taylor were united in marriage in Garden City, Kansas. Together they celebrated 27 years of marriage.
    Survivors include his wife Patricia Hooper of Wellington, Kansas, step-children: Kathy Methney and her husband Doug of Winfield, Kansas, Jeff Tipton and David Tipton both of Wellington, Kansas, grandchildren: Michael Mashak and his wife Rena, Jeremy Mashak, Brent Mashak, great-grandchildren: Dayton Mashak, Josh Mashak, Jacelyn Mashak, Paige Mashak and a brother Gary Hooper and his wife Martha.
    Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 with the family present from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..
    Funeral services for Larry will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Wellington, Kansas.
    Interment will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Kansas.
    A memorial has been established in his name and loving memory with First Free Will Baptist Church, 1219 North Plum, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
