Dear Editor:
The week of September 14-20 is Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week in honor of the notable efforts of our employees who champion inclusion, empowerment and opportunity in the lives of the individuals we support.
On the behalf of our Board of Directors and myself, I’d like to express my personal thanks and appreciation to the direct support professionals who are a very important part of Futures Unlimited, Inc. Their tireless conviction, dedication, and hard work over our 33 year history has made a long-lasting contribution to the quality of life for many of our citizens.
As one of the larger locally based human service providers in the county, Futures employs over 43 people in these challenging positions. They are a true example of “local folks helping other local folks.”
From my perspective, it is a privilege to be able to work alongside the DSPs who are a part of Futures Unlimited, Inc. It is the community’s extreme good fortune to have them as a part of our community!
