Myles Miller has won two golfing tournaments, including the highly prestigious Kansas Junior Amateur in Emporia.

    Myles Miller, an incoming Wellington HIgh School junior, continues his blistering hot streak since winning the Class 4A individual golf state championships in May.
    Miller has been in three tournaments and has come away with two firsts and a second.
    Just this week, 15-year-old Miller won the Kansas Junior Amateur by four strokes at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course.     He shot a 68 in the final round after shooting a 72 in the first round to finish with a 2-under par 140 score.
    Michael Gellerman of Sterling placed second with a 142.
    Earlier this month, Miller won the Woody Austin Mid-West Invititational held June 1-4 at Auburn Hills in Wichita.
    In the boys 13-15 division, Miller, shot a 219, five strokes better than his closest competitor. He was trailing in the first round, but came back and shot a 71. Jackson Foth of Lake Quivira placed second with a 224.
    Miller also placed second in the Junior All-Star Tournament at Aspen conducted by the American Junior Golf Association at Aspen Golf Club.
    He shot a 75-71-72 for a 218. The winner David Oraee of Greeley, Colo shot a 200.
