Oh the outrage! It’s like taking away Christmas

Wellington, Kan. -

OK, I guess I should be outraged about this whole Texas vs. Oklahoma and BCS thing.
Texas isn't going to the Big 12 Championship game even after beating those stinkin' Sooners in the Cotton Bowl last October.
Believe me, if it was Kansas or K-State instead of Texas, I'd be outraged.
I'd have my bull horn on the corner of Wellington's downtown Washington and Lincoln screaming about the oppression. Just to prove my point, I'd knock down the Glasco Building. That would take a shove.
But this is Texas we're talking about.
Being outraged over Texas' plight, is like getting outraged that someone delivered the wrong kind of caviar to Paris Hilton's Christmas bash.
What are the Longhorns going to do? Stomp, kick, scream, then go out and recruit another round of blue chippers from their backyard?
It's not like they weren't there before and won't be back again. Heck, I could coach Texas and get them to a bowl.
I do feel bad for Texas coach Mack Brown, college football's classiest guy.
But it kind of feels good even the big boys can get mistreated.
There's so much blame to go around. But I'm pointing my finger at the Big 12 buffoons who created this mess. Let's get this straight. We're going to have a bunch of computers in New York City decide a three-way tie in the Big 12? Gutless.
The Big 12 Conference could save itself a lot of trouble if it would just eliminate the north division vs. south division thing.
Why is there so much outrage about Oklahoma going, when it is clear Missouri, winner of the north, is not supposed to be there.
Why not just lump every Big 12 Conference school into one division and then take the top two teams in the standings? That way Oklahoma and Texas, the two legitimate contenders, would compete for the title. Missouri would be home watching like the rest of us.
Sometimes simplicity is the best solution.
