1. Wellington finished fourth in the Class 4A state tennis tournament as a team in 2009, the highest state placing for a WHS girls team in school history. The previous high placing at state was in 2005 when WHS placed sixth.
2. Going into their senior year, Lexis Hibbs and Kaitlyn Buck have already broken the Wellington High School career winning record. They have 83 wins in three years, 61 in just the past two years, and 32 in the past year.
3. In 2009, for the first time in its history, Wellington sent its full squad to the state tournament.
