Lady Crusaders are 4-2

The Lady Crusaders lost another tight one on Friday when they traveled to Maize South. It went all the way to overtime, but Wellington lost 50-47.

In the first quarter, Wellington fell behind by four, heading into the second period down 10-6 to the Lady Mavericks. During the second quarter, the Crusaders came to life, breaking out for 16 points, and heading into the locker room with a one-point, 22-21 advantage.

The Lady Crusaders came out cold again, while Maize South remained consistent. Wellington was outscored 12-9 in the third period. But with 12 points in the fourth, Wellington forced overtime.

The two teams were locked at 43 heading into the extra period which wasn't as point-filled as the first four. The Lady Mavericks were able to edge out Wellington with seven points in OT, leading to the final 50-47.
