Since the bond issue was announced, social media has been full of conversation—ranging from thoughtful questions to false information, misleading statements, and general confusion about what the bond would mean for local taxpayers.
To help clear things up, the District has posted detailed information on its website at usd353.com. From the main menu, click “District” and then select “Bond Issue Information.” Copies of the District Budget are also available under the District Tab, “Board of Education” section.
In addition, several public Q&A meetings have been scheduled so community members can ask questions directly. A USD 353 Board Member will attend each meeting to provide answers and take feedback back to the Board.
