Calvin LeeRoy Guyle, age 63, unexpectedly passed away in Wichita, Kansas on August 19, 2022. Calvin was born March 30, 1959 in Gothenburg, NE, to parents

Norma and Stanley. He grew up in Mayfield, KS and graduated from Wellington High School. Calvin attended WTI for automotive mechanics before enlisting in the Army. While serving, Calvin was united in marriage to Louise Brown in Wellington, KS on January 1, 1983. He finished his enlistment of three years in Colorado Springs, CO before returning back to Wellington where he became a Sanitation Worker for the City. After leaving Wellington, Calvin made his home in Hazelton, KS, where he was a dedicated OK Coop Grain Elevator Operator. Even after his early retirement, Calvin continued to work part-time during the harvest season. In his spare time, he was a jack-of-alltrades and a mechanic who couldn’t say no to anybody who asked for help. Name the job and he had probably done it. Calvin is survived by his wife, Louise, of Hazelton, KS; daughter, Robyn (Matt) Whitaker, of Hazelton, KS; daughter Beverly Gauchat, of Marysville, KS; daughter Alicia Guyle, of Alva, OK; daughter Launa (Brandon) Maxwell, of Hazelton, KS; daughter Shauna Guyle, of Wichita, KS; daughter Haylee (Cody) Shellhammer, of Anthony, KS and grandchildren Jeremy, Josh, and Victoria Whitaker, Aiyana and Rayna Gauchat, Sylus Goodrich, Drake and Ryan Maxwell, Luke, Emily and soon-to-be Kinsley Shellhammer; as well as many extended family members who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Guyle; father, Stanley Guyle; step-father, Boyd Linder; step-brother, Jeff Linder; both sets of grandparents and two granddaughters. Calvin was a kind and caring man who would give you the shirt off of his back if he could and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held September 24, 2022 in Kiowa, KS at the Kiowa Community Building. Time to be determined still.
