Bobby Dean Harding (Bob) 88 passed away on April 5, 2024, at Topside Manor in Goodland, Kansas.
He was born on August 4, 1935, to Theadore Harding and Ethel Young Harding Curry in their farmhouse. He was the youngest of 4 children to this union. He graduated from Goodland High School in 1953. From there he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. Married his first wife Mary Lou Peter in 1957 and had 2 children in this union, daughter Teresa “Terry” and son Stacey Harding. After his service, he moved to Wellington, KS where he was the Human Resource Director for Welco Plessey Airline Factory for 38 years. In 1972, he married his beautiful wife Judy (Gift) Harding. This brought daughter Mandy (Scott) Blumenfeld into the fold. After retirement, they made 2 moves, first to Sierra Vista, AZ where they lived practically on the golf course. The second move was to Las Cruces, NM where they still enjoyed the warm weather and made some amazing friends. Bob was an avid golfer up until the last couple of years. He had played on golf courses all over the US. He was also in a bowling league for several years and a very active member of the ELKS Lodge. After his wife Judy passed away he moved back to Goodland, KS to be close to family. Preceding him in death are her parents, his wife Judy, his two brothers, and his sister. He is survived by his children, daughter Terry (William) Twombly of Goodland, KS, son, Stacey Harding of Highland Ranch, CO, and Mandy (Scott) Blumenfeld of El Paso, TX, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:30 AM MT at Koons-Russell Funeral Home in Goodland. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM MT at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Topside Manor and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
