The BIG Idea competition, sponsored by Empowered, took place on April 18th at WSU. Four WHS students earned the opportunity to represent our classes in the competition after pitching their ideas to local judges from the business community. These students presented their business ideas along with an executive summary, aiming to secure venture capital prizes of $1500, $1000, and $500. Anika Fairbanks, from Melissa Buchanan’s Entrepreneurship class, achieved second place and was awarded $1,000. The other students selected to compete were River Douglas, Reagan Ewing, and Deighlynn Lea. Submitted
