Margaret "Peggy" E. DeBuhr, of Wellington, Kansas, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 77.

She was born the daughter of Eva (Landes) and Theodore "Ted" Kern on Monday, October 14, 1935 in Wellington, Kansas.

On August 19, 1955, Peggy and Karlin DeBuhr were united in marriage in Wellington, Kansas. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Throughout the years, she held a variety of positions; however, she spent a majority of her time as a Farmers Insurance agent and real estate agent for the company she owned, Wheatland Realty. Peggy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Karlin DeBuhr of Wellington, Kansas; children, Kirby DeBuhr of Grand Prairie, Texas, Karlyss DeBuhr of Dallas, Texas, Kenton DeBuhr and his wife Tammy of Wellington, Kansas, Brandy Luck and her husband Tim of Owensboro, Kentucky, Kenneth DeBuhr and his wife Kaley of Wichita, Kansas, Kristy DeBuhr (Mario French) of Wellington, Kansas; grandchildren, K.C. Stafford and his wife Courtney, Jason Shelinbarger, Bradley Garrison, Anthony Altis, Bobby Altis; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Chris and Sydney Luck, Chandler Burton, Austin, Tynell and Kymari French, Madison Stafford, Caleb and Kassandra Shelinbarger; brother, Joe Kern and his wife Shirley of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Jayne Hall and her husband Howard of St. Charles, Missouri; uncle, Merle Landes and his wife Bonnie of Wellington, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Bo DeBuhr; sister, Florine Johnson and great-grandson, Donzell French.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2012. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday November 12, 2012 at St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church, Wellington, Kansas.

Funeral Mass for Margaret will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church, 210 North B Street, Wellington, Kansas.

Interment will follow at the Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington, Kansas.

A memorial has been established in her loving memory with Hospice Care of Kansas, 314 North Washington, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
