Theobald, W. T. "Jack", age 84, retired Beech Aircraft employee and bluegrass musician, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012.

Visitation Noon – 5 PM Friday, Senter-Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane. Rosary 7 PM Friday, Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday, both at St. Michael Catholic Church, 545 East Main, Mulvane. Jack was very active in bluegrass music, he was a charter member of the Kansas
Bluegrass Association, and is credited with forming the first bluegrass band in Kansas, The Bluegrass Country Boys. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mae; parents, Jesse & Carrie Theobald; daughter, Deborah and brother, Gerald. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; sons, Mike (Vickie), of Wichita, and Pat (Linde), of Wellington; daughter Pam Franklin (Brad Wicker), of Wellington; stepsons, Dan (Becka) Charvat, of Oxford, and Cody Charvat, of Park City; stepdaughter, Mylea (Mark) Walther, of San Francisco; grandchildren, Chris, Jess, Jordon and Kaci Theobald, James Rex, Jeremy and Jerad Henry, Bob Harris, Shane and Nathan Hilt, Anthony, Michael, and Gabriel Charvat and Brant McCracken; great grandchildren, Jake Henry, Jack Theobald, Morgan Wallace, Brianna and Ian Rex, and Emma Charvat.
