The Sailfish had 43 swimmers in the water for their home meet against Valley Center last week. The weather cooperated for this event and the team also had the opportunity to reveal their new “Swimmer Hall of Fame” wall.
Rogan Wetta, a sophomore at WHS, is starting his second year as a lifeguard at the Wellington Family Aquatic Center. His favorite aspect of the job is collaborating with a “great group of guards.” He considers this opportunity the perfect summer experience and a way to strengthen his sense of responsibility.
As preparations continue for the Wellington Community Theater’s upcoming children’s production of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” local puppeteer Bob Brown has been designing and building a host of puppet characters.
