Historical Fiction – Like it, or not?

Historical Fiction is a very popular literary genre at the Wellington Public Library. For a novel to be considered Historical Fiction, the plot must be set in the past and capture details of the period as accurately as possible.

Mosquito Spraying Schedule

On Monday, May 20th, the Wellington Street Department will begin spraying for mosquitos and will continue the task throughout the week. The areas covered include: Monday, May 20th: A Street - West of Vandenburgh Wednesday, May 22nd: B Street - South of Harvey from Vandenburgh to Woodlawn Friday, May 24th: C Street - North of Harvey from Vandenburgh to Hargis Creek Watershed Normal spraying hours are from 6 – 9:30pm.

Baseball Celebrates Seniors, Sets School Record

In the final regular season doubleheader a talented Mulvane team managed to snap the Crusader’s 11 game winning streak in Game 1 on Senior Night. Wellington dropped the first game 13-1, but their bats bounced back to give the Dukes the win in Game 2 by a score of 6-0.

Wilson Concludes Stand-out Season

On May 4th, Alara Wilson participated in her last regular-season swim meet of 2024 with the Winfield Vikings at the Andover High School Girls Invitational. Emerging as the dominant team’s standout freshman, she contributed a notable 16 points to their victorious finish.
