e Wellington boys basketball team went 2-0 last week. After easily dispatching El Dorado, 69-46 last Tuesday, they had an intense battle that could only resemble postseason basketball against WinBeld Friday night.

The Wellington powerlifting team hosted a “Lift-AThon” fundraiser last Saturday at the high school, where patrons pledged donations based on the pounds lifted. Athletes gave it their all, striving to surpass their personal bests while raising funds for the team. The team raised more than $2,000 to help fund expenses for the program. Photos by Ursula Goff
Following the Wellington girls’ varsity basketball game last Friday night, WHS celebrated the remarkable career of longtime athletics announcer Gary Fair. After 38 years as the voice of the Cru- saders, Fair is oEcially passing the microphone to WMS teacher and coach Brandon Starkey.
