Recently, both the Democratic and Republican parties notified the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office of their participation in the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP), choosing this method over a caucus system.

Winter Storms Scammers

Amidst winter storms, there have been reports of scammers reaching out to residents via phone, posing as City employees. These scammers will claim that power to a building or home is on the verge of disconnection unless an immediate fee is paid using methods such as a money order, gift card, or other forms of payment.

Pet of the Week

Charlotte was originally found in the country and rescued with her littermates. The rescuer found homes for all the kittens, except for little Charlotte. She quickly grew into a beautiful little lady and is now at the shelter to find her forever home. Charlotte is about a year old and was shy at first, but is gaining confidence living in the cat colony. She is enjoying volunteers and visitors giving her lots of love!

A Shot Clock Advocate

With more and more states adopting a shot clock, one thing has become clear. The Kansas State High School Activities Association needs to do the same.
