It’s A Hippopotamus For Christmas!

The spirited holiday tune “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas!” took on a whole new dimension of cheer at Tanganyika Wildlife Park as they celebrated the birth of a baby Pygmy Hippopotamus on December 14th. The male calf was welcomed by parents Pluto and Posie, who represent the only breeding pair of Pygmy hippos in Kansas.

As everyone enjoys the winter break, I am excited to share a few details from a recent Economic Impact Analysis with data compiled from fiscal year 2021-22. The study measured how Cowley College impacts the local and regional economy.

Last week marked the successful conclusion of Operation Holiday, where dedicated volunteers fulfilled Christmas wishes for 97 families and 235 children in Sumner County, providing gifts, clothes, and other requested items.
