Last month, the FDA implemented an update to the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), now requiring mammography facilities to provide patients with a breast density notification. This statement will inform patients whether their breast tissue is categorized as “not dense” or “dense.” This notification is crucial because dense breast tissue can make it more difficult to detect breast cancer on a mammogram.

The Wellington girls golf team won their third consecutive Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League championship in Derby last week. The Lady Dukes had six of the top eight finishers in the tournament, for division IV, shooting 338 as a team.
