State Food Sales Tax Eliminated in January
The state sales tax on food in Kansas will be reduced to 0% by January 1, 2025. This phased reduction began when the legislature lowered the food tax from 6.5% to 4% in January 2023, and then to 2% in January 2024.
US 160 Resurfacing Starts Soon
Two connected resurfacing projects involving milling and a hot-mix asphalt overlay will soon begin on US 160 in Cowley and Sumner counties.
