Girls Golf 3rd At Pre-State Tournament

The Wellington girls golf team opened their season in Hesston in a tournament deemed “Pre-State” due to the quality of the competition as well as the course. The Lady Dukes brought home a 3rd Place finish as a team with their top three golfers all placing in the Top 15.

Construction Begins on New Ag Greenhouse

Construction is underway on the new Ag Greenhouse at Wellington High School, following the severe storm damage that destroyed the previous structure in August 2023. The storm led to the dismantling of the greenhouse, which disrupted classes and forced the cancellation of the popular annual plant sale.

Library Card Sign-Up Month

With September starting, so does Library Card Sign-Up Month! This campaign began in 1987 when the Secretary of Education stated, “Every child should obtain a library card and use it.” The American Library Association (ALA) replied via telegram saying, “We accept your challenge.”, and Library Card Sign-up month was born.
