Library Card Sign-Up Month

With September starting, so does Library Card Sign-Up Month! This campaign began in 1987 when the Secretary of Education stated, “Every child should obtain a library card and use it.” The American Library Association (ALA) replied via telegram saying, “We accept your challenge.”, and Library Card Sign-up month was born.

Alumni Return For Volleyball Scrimmage

The Wellington volleyball squad hosted their “Gatorade Scrimmage” last week as two alumni squads took on the Varsity and JV volleyball teams in the WHS gym. The term “Gatorade Scrimmage” comes from people who attend the event bringing Gatorade for the team to drink on the road during the season.
