The Beyond the Bridge: Rural Digital Equity Summit, held at Kanokla’s Upstairs Downtown Venue in Caldwell, brought together community leaders to discuss strategies for achieving broadband equity by improving internet access and enhancing digital skills.
Every Tuesday at 7pm, VFW Post #881 in Wellington invites everyone to join in the fun at Bingo night! Last week, around 50 players competed in 15 exciting games, including a Blackout game with a large cash prize. Players can buy as many cards as they like, and daubers are available for purchase.
During Thursday’s Chamber Coffee, the Wellington Chamber of Commerce announced Anne Brown as the winner of the 2024 Fall Festival Design Contest. Her whimsical pumpkin design will be featured on all official Fall Festival merchandise.

Washington Elementary School kicked off the school year in style with their 3rd Annual Friday Fun Day! Students took on the heat with a splash, enjoying water games, challenges, and all sorts of cool-down activities. The highlight? Wellington Fire/EMS Captain Javan Wright perched high on Engine #3, joining the fun as students eagerly gathered under the refreshing spray.
Last week, longtime Wellington resident Ermadene McClure went to be with her Lord. Ermadene was a dedicated homemaker, a supportive mother, an avid reader, a quilt maker, and an exceptional cook.
