The Wellington Heat were upset by the Mulvane Patriots in the first round of the Kansas Collegiate League Baseball tournament last Friday night. As the higher seed, the Heat was the home team and this loss meant this game would be their final at Hibbs-Hooten for the season.
Rahlee Colwell, is a sen- job. Her favorite part is ior at South Haven High School and in her third year as a lifeguard at the Wellington Family Aquatic Center. She decided to become a lifeguard because her Aunt Jami encouraged her to try the experience for a good, fun summer working with some of her best friends and “making memories”.. The Wellington Regent Theater hosted the “The Padres’’ first ever performance last Saturday night with special guest Hyway 14 opening the show. Band members have known Regent owner, Jerry Fike, for over a decade as several previously performed at Barefoot Jerry’s.
About forty young tech enthusiasts enjoyed the hospitality and engaging activities at the 2024 Tech Camp, held in the Upstairs Downtown event space in Caldwell. Co-hosted by KanOkla and Cowley Community College, the exciting camp brought together Sumner County students in grades 5 through 9.
The Wellington Family Aquatic Center welcomed all incoming 6th graders through outgoing 8th graders to their annual Middle School Splash Bash last Sunday night. Admission included a slice of pizza and kids took full advantage of the Center’s 154-foot open air slide, high and low diving boards, mushroom waterfall, tumble buckets and a lily pad area.

Jack is a 3 1/2 year old, large mixed breed dog that weighs 65 pounds. He was found in the country and was brought in as a tiny puppy. He was adopted but had to come back due to life circumstances beyond his control. Jack abso - lutely loves people and attention. He enjoys get - ting pets, playing with his people, and especially cuddling on the couch! He is timid with other dogs so he might do best as an only pet. This handsome boy is ready for someone to spoil him like he deserves! Come in this week to meet Jack. We are open Wednesday through Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
