NDGA Coin Toss

The National Depression Glass Association Museum hosted a challenging Coin Toss event during the Kansas Wheat Festival. For a donation to the Museum, guests took a chance tossing a wooden coin at a table filled with vintage glass. Land the coin in the dish and it was yours to take home.

SCATA Competes At Wheat Festival

The Sumner County Antique Tractor Association conducted their tractor pull competition on Saturday evening. Competitors traveled to Wellington from neighboring communities, Goddard, Viola, Valley Center, Rose Hill, Osage City, Mulvane, and Wichita as well as Minneapolis.

Classic Cars At Wheat Festival

The 40th Annual Kansas Wheat Festival Antique Rod & Classic Car Show took place last Saturday and Randall Andra’s 1924 Plymouth took home the “Best of Show” recognition. Sailfish Dive Into Their Fundraiser

The Wellington Sailfish hosted their Annual Sailfish Swim-A-Thon to help raise funds to purchase team gear and other expenses in support of the swimmers. The team will be competing at Districts this week.

Hartman Gets Heat Win

Bolstered by a strong seven inning outing from hometown pitcher Keaton Hartman, the Wellington Heat got an exciting 3-2 win over the Kansas Curve. Hartman, former WHS player, gave up just three hits in the game.
