Wellington Fire Golf Classic

The 6th Annual Wellington Fire Golf Classic was held last Saturday at the Wellington Golf Club, where forty-one teams pre-registered to compete in the community’s largest scholarship golf tournament. “This is a great event,” said Ben Heasty, Director of the Wellington Golf Club.

Upstairs Downtown Venue Opens

The Caldwell Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of The Upstairs Downtown Venue. Located at 7 West Avenue A Street in downtown Caldwell, the newly restored upstairs of this 1910 brick building features a spacious ballroom and hotel-style lodging.

Airport Rehab Complete

Recent rehabilitation work at Wellington Municipal Airport has been completed, and the facility has been reopened to air traffic. It had been nearly twenty years since the last rehabilitation of the taxiways and ramps, so this routine maintenance was scheduled.

We were fortunate to have Jackie Glasgow come to the Brother Beehive Classroom and teach “The Confetti Trivet” class. This was an easy project with so much creative potential! The key is to start with a tight coil as you master the technique of wrapping the fabric strips around the rope.
