Crusader Escapades Conquers All
Despite the threat of severe weather and a few claps of thunder, the WHS Choir hosted their Crusader Escapades concert last week and both the large crowd and performers were in high spirits. The concert embraced a “Through the Decades” theme, featuring a delightful mix of pop songs from the choir, Crusader Singers and soloists.


Wheat Capital Classic Sets Record
Over the weekend, the rain dampened the fields but not enthusiasm as organizers of the 6th Annual Wheat Capital Classic set a new record for the number of teams participating in this event. Fifty teams from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas traveled to Wellington for the weekend to partake in the tournament, showcasing their skills and enjoying the local hospitality.



A Fine Performance
Britain’s Finest played at The Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, April 20th and the Wellington community turned out to see the show. Nearly 400 tickets were sold, including all the V.I.P.

Matt’s Hangar
Ford Motor Company’s Gulfstream G650 ultra-high-speed, ultralong- range business jet flew into the Wellington Municipal Airport this weekend. Manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace, these airplanes are designed to provide all the comforts of home, at 50,000 feet. The aircraft can carry up to 18 passengers with a range of 7,000nm. The aerodynamic wing increases speed, range and fuel efficiency.

How do you combat the rising costs of feeding a family these days? Many people turn to gardening to raise their own fresh fruits and vegetables. But, even gardening can be costly for a beginner. That’s why we have started a “Seed Library” here at the Wellington Public Library.
