Fireworks Light Up the Sky at Hargis

For the third consecutive summer, Wellington’s Independence Day fireworks show brought friends, families, and neighbors together at the Hargis Creek Watershed, transforming the landscape into a glowing backdrop of celebration on the evening of July 4th. As dusk settled over the city, hundreds of residents gathered around the water—some on lawn chairs and blankets, others sitting on truck beds or tailgates—ready to watch the sky come alive.

Library Hosts Brick Painting Project

The Wellington Public Library hosted a creative and fun-filled DIY project last week—painting bricks to resemble favorite books! These charming creations make perfect bookends or doorstops for indoor use and double as whimsical additions to gardens and patios. A generous local resident donated the bricks for the project.
