Recent investigations into American Indian boarding schools have brought about a renewed interest in their history. Dr. Eric Anderson, Potawatomi Nation citizen and History professor from Haskell Indian Nations University will visit the Wellington Public Library to share his insight on the topic tomorrow, November 9th, at 6:30pm.

Goblins and ghouls mingled with Barbies and unicorns, as downtown Wellington was transformed into a vibrant mix of spooky haunts, fairytale characters, and mythical creatures on Halloween. Fueled by donuts, chocolate and pixie sticks, the town’s residents, both young and old, gleefully paraded through the streets.
The city council meeting opened with the call to order and pledge of allegiance. Reverend Wendell Skinner of New Hope Baptist Church led the invocation.
