Stories from Caldwell’s Main Street

Last Monday, the Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society hosted the authors of “These Old Bones: the Stories of Caldwell, Kansas’s Main Street” at the Wellington Memorial Auditorium. Sisters Michelle Schiltz Lou Ann Jamison wrote the tabletop book in an effort to document and preserve the history of the buildings in the community.

It’s been a busy time for out-of-town guests this past week as we had over 600 people participating in the Central Kansas Shop Hop come to our store. We stayed open for extended and special hours just for the event.

Annual Sunflower Classic

The Trigger Guard outdoor shooting range hosted their 11th annual Sunflower State Classic GSSF match last weekend. The event garnered 391 entries and competitors were eligible to win performance and random cash prizes, merchandise and guns from Glock.

Buzz From the Beehive

Pet of the Week

Sadie is a beautiful calico tabby that is around 5 months old. She was born a street cat and a caring citizen was able to bring her in with her siblings for a chance at a happy home. She is super sweet, cuddly, and has a very unique coat. You will love her personality!
