Rhino Baby Bump Update

Throughout the week, Monica the Indian Rhino at Tanganyika Wildlife Park has gotten more milk in and has continued to show more physical changes that indicate she is getting closer to giving birth. Her keepers have started to introduce her to the stall that she will be giving birth in, so that she can get comfortable being on the new bedding and around the baby proofing.

Caldwell Regional Medical Center Opens in Sumner County

Sumner County Hospital commemorated the opening of the new Caldwell Regional Medical Center by hosting an unveiling ceremony, ribbon cutting and open house on January 24th, 2023. Medical center staff, the Board of Trustees, and the hospital CEO, welcomed citizens from around the county to the Caldwell Community Building to celebrate the opening of the medical center.

Pet of the Week

Only 10 months old, Rover has been through a lot. He was dumped in the county, found emaciated and full of parasites. He has since gained weight and is thriving at the shelter. Two of his brothers have been adopted and Rover is ready for a home of his own. He’s goofy and sweet, a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and loves attention. We think he’s a large breed mix with some Boxer. Just look at this adorable mug!
