Pet of the Week

Trill is almost 4 years old and found herself here at the shelter in March. Her previous house was full of activity and noise and she was stressed by it all. She has fostered with other cats and we believe she would thrive as the only pet. She is a very laid-back gal who prefers to relax watching out a window or snuggling up on the couch. We know the right person is out there for her, ready to provide a relaxing and loving environment. Maybe someone that is retired and needs a friend for company? A Cowboy Shootout

The weather was chilly but the sun was shining for the first Cowboy Action Match of the year held at Trigger Guard Shooting Range last Saturday and Sunday. This match is usually held on the first Saturday of each month, but more cowboys wanted to participate last weekend so they extended the competition to include Sunday.

C.R.A.S.E. TRAINING HOSTED AT THE MAYFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER

Update from Sumner Economic Development By Stacy Davis, Executive Director Last week, the Sumner County Economic Development Commission in partnership with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office hosted a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E) training class and dinner for the community. Fifty-three people attended the 2-hour active shooter preparedness presentation at the Mayfield Community Center, Mayfield, KS.
