Hug is a Pug and Labrador mix that weighs about 30 pounds and is approximately 10 years old. Sadly, she wasn’t being taken care of properly by her people, so she was removed from the home and taken to a kill shelter. Since Hug is older than most shelter dogs, she was a top candidate for euthanasia to make room for incoming dogs. We couldn’t pass up that toothy grin of hers so she is now safe here until she finds a loving home of her own. Hug is super sweet to everyone she meets. She has been around children, but we aren’t sure about other dogs or cats. Due to her age, she has some mild arthritis, but it doesn’t affect her mobility. She would enjoy a comfy bed, someone to nap with and probably a treat or two. Do you have room in your home and heart for this sweet girl? Dogs are only $25 during the month of December. Filling out the application online before you come will help speed up the adoption process. www.wellingtonhumanesociety.org/dogs

These were supposed to be Einstein’s golden years of basking in the sun and cuddling on the couch. But, sadly his previous owner surrendered him. He is currently 15 years young and a Bichon Frise mix. Einstein is a very loving and loyal guy. He’s not very fond of children or other dogs, but he would be a wonderful choice for someone wanting a companion. Would you consider adopting this adorable senior? During the month of November, all senior dogs can be adopted for only $25. Complete the application online to get approved before you meet him to speed up the adoption process. www.wellingtonhumanesociety.org/dogs Please plan to join us for our Annual Open House Saturday, December 3rd from 10am-2pm.
