The Wellington Recreation Center is offering a Youth Day Camp for K-5th graders on October 14th. There’s no school that Friday, so from 8am – 5pm at WRC kids can enjoy lunch, games, snacks, crafts and an afternoon movie at the Regent Theater.
“To fill a need”, is the motto of one Wellington organization that is committed to helping others. Founded in 2015 by Ginny Schon, Friends For Charity started with a conversation at the Wellington Library.
Last Friday night, the Lincoln Elementary PTA sponsored Family Movie Night On The Lawn with a screening of “Casper”. Admission was free and so was the popcorn. Family and friends brought chairs and blankets and gathered together for a casual, fun outdoor movie experience that included hot dogs, chips and drinks.
Having the correct tools can enhance any hobby and it’s important not to take that for granted. One of the quilting tools I can’t imagine living without is my rotary cutter.
Stafff report As part of the Ballet in the Park production on Saturday, September 10th, Encore Dance Wellington, (EDW), is offering a free dance class, plus the opportunity for local kids, ages 4-8, to perform prior to the ballet. The free class is open to all young ones; experienced dancers or not, boys and girls.
Darling little Minnow is a 5 month old, cute, playful kitten. This sweet girl is good with other cats and is already litter trained.
