Summer is a time for travel! If you’re like me, you like to take a book (or two) along for the trip. Audio books are wonderful for road trips and we have a wide variety available at the Library. You may find one that the whole family will enjoy, or perhaps one by a favorite author that you haven’t read yet. We also have a great selection of children’s books and DVDs for your younger “back-seat” travelers.

My new friend Lyle Baade visited The Hive Retreat House recently to share his expertise on the care and operation of vintage Singer Featherweight sewing machines. The first Singer Featherweight machine was made in October 1933 and they continued to make this machine through the late 1960’s.
