WHS Freshmen Tour Cowley Campus

The Cowley College Sumner campus hosted the Wellington High School freshmen class last for an informative, career exploration visit. Instructors from programs including; Nursing, Non-Destructive Testing, Agriculture, Machine Tool, Welding, Criminal Justice, Education and Child Care, Cosmetology, EMT/Fire Science, CNA/Nursing, and IT/ Computer Science were all available to talk with WHS students about their classes.

“What is the largest mammal in the world?” If you knew the answer, you might have enjoyed last week’s Scholars Bowl. WHS students engaged in the spirit of academic competition both in Wellington on Tuesday and then again in Mulvane on Thursday.

Young Entrepreneurs Market Their Wares

The 8th grade students from Wellington Middle School showcased their business acumen during Market Day last week as family and friends joined in to support their efforts. The Business Essentials and the Family and Consumer Science classes teamed up for the event along with support from non-profit organization, Empowered.

Mason Lough Recognized at OSU

WHS 2020 graduate Mason Lough recently received his General Honors Award from the Honors College at Oklahoma State University. Lough was honored at the Fall Award ceremony held September 22 , 2023 at in the Student Union Little Theatre for completing the Honors curriculum as part of his degree.

No Tricks, Just A Treat

The sounds of crashing thunder and howling winds created a spooky ambiance for the Wellington Community Theater’s fall play “Trick or Treat” written by Tim Kelly. The naturally cloudy afternoon made for a darkened Memorial Auditorium as patrons heard the tale of a haunted mansion recently purchased by a young, unsuspecting newlywed couple.
