Museum volunteers have completed their annual spring-cleaning and The National Depression Glass Museum is now open for the 2023 season. The front windows are newly adorned with vintage, spring inspired Depression Glass in beautiful and colorful patterns; Green Horseshoe, Blue Mayfair, Yellow Florentine and Pink Old Colony/Lace Edge.
WHS Debate competed at the KSHSAA 4A 2-Speaker State Tournament at Wichita Collegiate, finishing their season with impressive results. A total of 32 teams representing 14 schools qualified to compete at the state level.
On January 17, 2023, the Kansas Senate Committee on Commerce introduced a $12 million Film Incentive Bill aimed at bringing major film productions to the state. The package utilizes tax credit incentives totaling $10 million and targeted grants totaling $2 million to incentivize film, video, digital media production, and film businesses.
John T. Stewart III has been a KU fan his whole life. As a child, he attended football and basketball games with his dad, John T. Stewart II, a 1911 KU alumnus. Long trips from their home in Wellington, Kan., to Lawrence are cherished memories. Stewart was raised by his grandparents because his mother died soon after he was born, and his dad died when he was 13.

Jack Wright joins for the High School Student Highlight segment and recounts what it felt like to make that buzzer beater shot for the win.
The Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall 2022 semester at Southwestern College and at Southwestern College Professional Studies have been announced. Full-time students who earned grade point averages of at least 3.70 were eligible for the honor.
