Parkey Siblings Awarded Scholarships

Sawyer and Sophia Parkey were recently recognized by the Wellington Fire Department/EMS with certificates honoring their selection as recipients of the department’s annual scholarship. Created to help address the nationwide decline in applicants entering public service careers, the Wellington Fire/EMS scholarship supports promising young adults pursuing a career in emergency medical services.

Washington Elementary recently welcomed families, friends, and community members into the school for its annual Mustang Showcase, a celebration of student learning and creativity across all grade levels. Each hallway was filled with colorful and engaging displays highlighting projects students have been working on this spring.

WHS Overwatch Team Competes at Nationals

The Wellington High School Crusader Overwatch Esports team made an impressive showing at the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF) High School National Championship last weekend in San Antonio, Texas—earning a third-place finish. The all-senior team, led by Team Captain Draisyn Lea and accompanied by Esports Coach Todd Larkey, included Hagen Bryant, John Summers, Kaden Dolezal, and Riddick Jeffries.
