Golden Talks About Touring With Oak Ridge Boys

Moviegoers at last Sunday’s matinee at the Regent Theatre were greeted with furry handshakes and wagging tails as a couple of very special dogs from the Wellington Humane Society visited with guests

Sadie is a spunky little girl ready for a home to rule! She is the first to greet you when you enter her cat colony and loves attention. She enjoys watching the lobby like it is a television channel and will even try to play with dogs through the glass as they walk by.

Zooka (formerly Fred) was originally rescued from the local pound with his siblings, the Flintstones litter. He survived the deadly parvovirus and was able to go to a foster home. Sadly, his breed kept him from being adopted. His DNA test proves he is a variety of cuteness, but in his current living situation, he wasn’t allowed to be any pit and he does have some. So, he is now 9 months old and back with us. He is a little shy, so someone who is willing to give him time to settle in and get comfortable is best. He loves to play in the yard with other dogs and he is a cuddler once you get to know him. Stop in this week to meet Zooka! We are open Wednesday through Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. Mattie is a super sweet girl who was being fostered by an elderly person that can no longer care for her. She is ready for her permanent home and would make someone a wonderful companion. A big beautiful Siamese girl, she is almost 4 years old. Stop in and meet Mattie! We are open Wednesday through Friday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. Misty has been at the shelter for 538 days! She is a Labrador mix and has never met a person she doesn’t like. She was removed from a kill shelter to give her a well deserved second chance. She is about four years old and enjoys walks, car rides, cuddling, and playing with volunteers and staff. Misty is super sweet, just look at those adorable ears! How can you resist?! Jack is almost 3 years old and a large mixed breed boy at 65 pounds. He originally came to the shelter as a tiny puppy that was found in the country. He was adopted, but due to life circumstances beyond his control, his family had to return him. Jack enjoys lots of attention, getting pets, playing, and especially cuddling on the couch! He is learning to play with other dogs in a playgroup and doing an excellent job. This long-legged handsome boy is ready for a furever home to spoil him! Come in this week to meet Jack.
