Students at Eisenhower Elementary School lined up under a gigantic rainbow starting gate and eagerly waited for the “Go!” signal from Eisenhower Elementary School principal, Charity Elder to start the school’s annual Color Run.

Smart Tech Installed At City Hall
Ecobee Smart Thermostats have been installed in Wellington City Hall as part of Sumner County’s “Building Technologies Proving Ground – Public Sector Field Validation” project with the Department of Energy.

USD 353 has a teacher’s In-Service day this coming Friday, April 28th. Looking for a way to entertain young ones? The Wellington Recreation Center has a funfilled Youth Day Camp planned for students K – 5th grade.

This may be a difficult question, but who is on your list of favorite authors? Most often, what I choose to read depends on my mood, the time of year, or even how much time I have to dedicate to reading. But, I do believe it’s valuable to take a look at which authors one turns to when browsing the shelves at the library or bookstore.
Wellington Health & Rehabilitation Available As Tornado Shelter
The Wellington Health and Rehabilitation building located at 1600 West. 8th Street is available and open to residents in need of temporary tornado or storm shelter during severe weather.
Wellington High School 2023 Prom
The evening was cool, but the styles were hot! The dominant color of the night was cobalt blue, but other primary colors were boldly represented as WHS juniors and seniors paraded past the local paparazzi.
Empowering Ewing
What would you do with $1,500? Anna Ewing, WHS Sophomore, plans to invest it in her bakery business, The Bakery Girl. At the BIG Idea Business competition at Wichita State University, Ewing was awarded 1st Place and with that honor came the venture capital award.

City Council Meeting April 18, 2023
