Operation Holiday Update

Kansas Notables: All about Kansas!

Each year the Kansas State Library publishes a list featuring notable books about Kansas, set in Kansas, or books written by authors from Kansas that were published the previous calendar year. Ray Walling, Acting State Librarian, notes “Through their work, the authors take readers on a journey through the wetlands of the Cheyenne Bottoms to the baseball fields of the Kansas City Monarchs.” The book selection committee included representatives of public, university, and school libraries, teachers, academics, and writers.

Santa’s Helpers

The 2nd annual Santa’s Helpers Craft Bazaar takes place this Sunday, December 4th from 10am-5pm at the Raymond Frye Complex, 320 N Jefferson Ave in Wellington. This local craft show will make it easy to check off a few items on your Christmas list as over 20 local vendors with handmade items will be displaying their crafty wares.

The COVID-19 virus has been a grievous topic for the entire world. The upper respiratory disease has taken the lives of loved ones and altered other’s health permanently. Almost everyone has encountered the disease in some form, but for Wellington resident Markkel “Kel” Bradley, age 30, the fight to return to normal continues to this day at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis.
