New Equipment Brings Sonic Heights

Greenjeans Studios, the Wellington-based music production company owned and operated by Carter Green has installed a groundbreaking speaker system in their downtown studio. ATC engineering, located in Gloucestershire, England, manufactures what are considered in the audio industry to be the finest studio monitors available in the world.

Wellington’s Music Man

More than 35 years ago, Bob Ewing installed speakers in downtown Wellington to bring more energy to the area and create a fun atmosphere for shoppers and shop owners. Over the years, these speakers have served the town for more than just shopping. They have been essential for announcing parade lineups, making Wheat Festival announcements and more. Nothing lasts forever, that especially rings true with electronics. The speakers have performed well, but at this point many of them need to be replaced 14 total as a matter of fact. Bob’s son, Brad Ewing, has taken on the task.

Blower Door Test At City Hall

During the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) scientist’s tour of the buildings and thermal tile installation in Sumner County’s “Building Technologies Proving Ground – Public Sector Field Validation” project, Dr. Chuck Booten, Senior Engineer, Building Energy Sciences Mechanical and Thermal Systems Engineering identified a blower door test at City Hall as an important data gathering priority.

After serving in the Army for 8 years, he’s found his home in Wellington along with the Powder and String Outfitters crew. Brian spends most of his time refining his craft in the back of the shop engraving handmade silver works of art that ship worldwide.
