A crisp fall morning and about 150 Wellington 4th grade students greeted pilots at the Wellington Municipal Airport to kick off the Fly Kansas Air Tour. The event began with the WHS Marching Band playing the National Anthem as Matt Geier and Matt Snyder from the City of Wellington Electric Department proudly raised the American Flag.

The limestone for Heritage Plaza’s three-dimensional sculpture has been delivered in preparation for construction. The stone will provide a stable as well as beautiful base for the metal sculpture designed by local artist Ursula Goff.
