WHS 2015 graduate Austin Pfalzgraf successfully passed the Kansas bar examination and was sworn in as a Kansas attorney on September 30th, 2022, in the Georgia Neese Gray Performance Hall at the Topeka Performing Arts Center.
Wellington Area Local Transit (WALT), has been providing reliable and affordable transportation in the Wellington community since 1986 and they have recently added some new features. The transportation service is available for patrons of all ages and anyone aged 8 and older can ride without an adult.
Erma Ratliff visited the Kansas State Capitol building for a luncheon this week honoring her, and other select young Kansas residents, for the Kansas NextGen Under 30 Award. Upon arriving at the Capitol Building, she was greeted by Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland which continued to a networking luncheon with the other award recipients.

The Sumner Campus was excited to host over 40 junior and senior students from Burden High School last week. The students were on campus to tour our facility and learn more about the programs we offer here in Wellington.
After serving as an Army Medic in the Vietnam war from 1969-1972, Charles Lawless has publically received the honor and gratitude that he deserves. Nominated to take the Kansas Honor Flight, Lawless recently visited Washington D.C.
Kansas’ unemployment rate has been below 2.9% for the last 10 months, with the previous historic low occurring August 1978. The state’s unemployment rate during this time was a full percentage point below the nation’s unemployment rate.
