Tiffin Meyer wins Golden Apple Award

Tiffin Meyer, 4th Grade Teacher at Kennedy Elementary in Wellington, received a Golden Apple Award from KAKE for her inspirational and creative classroom programs. The award recognizes local teachers for supporting, motivating and encouraging a lifetime of learning. This project is a great way to repurpose those tubs of t-shirts that are to old, to worn, or just no longer the right size into a cuddly, soft quilt.

Color Run for funds

Eisenhower Elementary School held their Color Run fundraiser on windy and warm April 29th . Funds raised during the event are used for classroom resources, technology, class field trips, art supplies, and STEAM materials.

The 11th Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase held at Wellington High School on April 27th celebrated the accomplishments of CTE students as well as touted employment opportunities available to student interns.

Nance New WHS Principal

The Wellington School District announced that John Nance will be the next principal of Wellington High School and will be joining USD 353 on July 1, 2022. Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Wichita North High School, Nance has worked in education for 18 years.
