Nance New WHS Principal

The Wellington School District announced that John Nance will be the next principal of Wellington High School and will be joining USD 353 on July 1, 2022. Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Wichita North High School, Nance has worked in education for 18 years.

Crusaders perform at Royals Stadium

Led by Jennifer Ault, MS/HS Choir Director, members of the Crusader Singers at Wellington High School recently performed the national anthem at a Kansas City Royals home game at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City Royals select groups and individuals for the performance of the National Anthem prior to the game, and God Bless America during the game, using an audition process.

He has worked summers on the McNett Farm and his family always planted large gardens as he was growing up. Mr. Wellington’s other passion is education. He is a fifth-grade math and science teacher at Kennedy Elementary School in Wellington.
