Gov. Laura Kelly responded to mounting staff shortages at Kansas hospitals and nursing homes Thursday by issuing a new COVID-19 disaster emergency declaration and companion executive orders temporarily suspending laws and regulations on health care providers.
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — People still can sue Kansas counties over mask mandates and other COVID-19 restrictions and obtain a quick trial-court decision because of a Kansas Supreme Court ruling Friday.
In the recent COVID case numbers found throughout Unified School District 353, masks will be required for Wellington High School and Wellington Middle School during the week of Jan. 1oth to the 14th.
Unified School District 353 has finished its first round of presentations to 15 different groups across the district and the community. At each of these presentations, participants were invited to take a survey where they were able to give feedback on the two ideas presented by the district.
