October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection is key to survival.
Last Saturday, families and friends gathered under a billowing parachute canopy to enjoy live music and delicious BBQ. The sounds of the waterfall and breeze through the trees provided an idyllic backdrop that Sumner County residents have enjoyed since the 1800’s.
For over 20 years, Caldwell has hosted a Community Health Fair, and this year marked the second time the event was held at the new Caldwell Regional Medical Center (CRMC). The Fair aimed to reach those who rarely visit a doctor by offering free screenings and discounted lab work. Numerous exhibitors were also present, providing free health information to attendees.

The Wellington High School Volleyball team traveled to McPherson and seemed to spend more time in the air than they did on the gym floor. The Lady Crusaders took care of business efficiently, beating both of their opponents in two sets.
