Experienced WHS Boys Golf Team
The Wellington golf team starts their season on April 1 with a tournament at Crestview Country Club. The Crusaders have 10 golfers on this year’s team, gaining four additional players over last year.
Having A Blast At The Argonia Cup
Last weekend, the nearby community of Argonia hosted the Argonia Cup, a competition that challenges teams of collegiate students to design, construct, and launch a rocket using innovative engineering concepts.
Hovering Around WMS Scientists
Young scientists from Wellington Middle School filled the halls with over 50 presentations, sharing their experiments and knowledge with siblings, parents, grandparents, and the general public at the recent Science Fair.
BOE Meeting Summary – March 18th, 2024
A5 BPA Nationals Travel Request: Rane Case was present to request permission for BPA to travel to Chicago for Nationals May 10-14. She also requested the district pay for the advisor to go. The students recently attended that State Conference with fourteen students in attendance.
Wellington City Council Meeting – March 19, 2024
The city council meeting opened with the call to order and pledge of allegiance. Reverend Isaac Chua of First United Methodist Church led the invocation.

MARCH 28 - APRIL 4, 2024 Ronald Roy Wheeler, 84, passed away on March 20th. Private service will be held at a later date, as cremation has taken place.

WHS FFA Wins South Central District Discussion Meet; Bannister First Individually
Last week in Cheney, Wellington FFA team members Elora Hearlson, Kenna Maxwell, Ava Bales, Camryn Bannister, Kate Haines, and Tatum Rountree attended the South Central District Discussion Meet and earned 1st Place in the competition.
